Dr. Victor Ndhlovu is a molecular biologist with an interest in infectious disease biology. His research focuses on the fundamental biology of Mycobacterium tuberculosis cells, particularly those that persist during therapy. These cells are critical as they contribute to the long treatment duration of tuberculosis.
His research also involves leveraging genomic and geospatial data to unravel the transmission dynamics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in high-burden TB/HIV settings.
He is a Senior Lecturer and the Acting Head of Department in the Foundation Sciences at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), Malawi, and serves as the lead for the Blantyre–Blantyre Clinical Research Laboratory. He is actively involved in teaching Biology, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics.
Dr. Ndhlovu has previously held several portfolios within the Biomedical Sciences department and currently serves on several university committees.
