KUHeS Sports Complex

The Kamuzu University of Health sciences (KUHeS) Sports Complex is the leading organisation in health, fitness and sports science in Malawi and owns and operates a members’ wellness club in Blantyre, along Mahatma Ghandi Road. Established in 2008, the complex has several areas for use for Sports, High Performance Centre Services, Dinning, Catering Services and Entertainment and carters to the community around it as well as KUHeS students and staff.

MISSION

Building a world class gym and fitness club in Blantyre, Malawi where members comfortably train for health and for fitness; a place where they connect while achieving their health goals.

VISION

Our vision is to be the market leader in the development and provision of services to health and fitness enthusiasts as well as elite sports talent at regional, national and international levels with specific emphasis on VIBE teams, students and staff of KUHeS, Corporates and members of the general public who share the same goals.

Breezer Bar and Restaurant

The Bar and Restaurant Offers clients a vibrant atmosphere to get together and network. With bar specials every weekend, the Breezer Bar is the place to spend afternoons at. The restaurant compliments the bar by providing tasty bites and mouthwatering meals at very affordable prices.

Snack Bar

The Snack Bar provides clients with the best quality services that keep them asking for more. With a good range of delicious quick meals, there is no reason to go home for lunch when one can stop by the Snack Bar and save themselves the time. 

Crunch Café 

The Crunch Café prides itself as the lone health café in Blantyre that offers clients a variety of flesh and healthy products. The Café offers both food and beverages that help clients to maintain, lose or gain weight.

Outside Catering

The sports complex also offers catering services and caters to corporate companies, wedding ceremonies, parties and other functions and occasions around Blantyre at no additional delivery cost. We are able to cater for functions of up to 2000 people at your selected venue.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES AND CATEGORIES

Corporate Membership

This membership category is specifically designed for the business segment. It offers customized corporate membership programs tailored to needs, goals and sizes of businesses having in mind that  company wellness programs are an investment in the company’s most valuable asset, its employees.

With this membership, staff members have the following benefits:

• Use the Gym without paying extra fees
• Swimming Pool
• Aerobic Classes at no extra cost
• One month free digital advertising
• Customized Feel the Vibe t-shirt

Public Membership

The public membership category carters for individuals and families around the community who are enthusiasts for health and fitness. And it has subcategories as below:

Gold Membership

This category enables clients to use the gymnasium, swimming pool and attend aerobic classes throughout the year at NO EXTRA COST.  Clients only pay for other sporting facilities not stated in this category as and to when the sporting facilities are used. A 15% discount is given for function bookings when settled within 24 hours of the function.  

Silver Membership

This category enables clients to play Squash and Tennis throughout the year at NO EXTRA COST. Payment is expected for all other sporting facilities as and to when they are used. Clients receive a 10% discount for function bookings when settled within 24 hours of the function.

Bronze Membership

This category enables clients to attend aerobic classes throughout the year without paying extra fees. Payment is expected for all other sporting facilities as and to when they are used
