BT-BT Lab work package aims at establishing a world-class, internationally accredited research and diagnostic facility in Malawi in partnership with the University of Glasgow
Key Activities
Renovation and architectural design of laboratory space.
Procurement and installation of laboratory equipment.
Development of a Quality Management System.
Recruitment and training of staff for research and diagnostic services.
Accreditation process for international research standards.
Strengthening research collaborations and faculty exchanges between Malawi & Zambia
Setting up a forensic unit.
2 MSc and 1 PhD studentship for the projects.
Outcome
: Enhanced research capacity, internationally accredited laboratory services, and improved health diagnostics in Malawi and Zambia.
