Objectives
BT-BT Lab work package aims at establishing a world-class, internationally accredited research and diagnostic facility in Malawi in partnership with the University of Glasgow
Key Activities
- Renovation and architectural design of laboratory space.
- Procurement and installation of laboratory equipment.
- Development of a Quality Management System.
- Recruitment and training of staff for research and diagnostic services.
- Accreditation process for international research standards.
- Strengthening research collaborations and faculty exchanges between Malawi & Zambia
- Setting up a forensic unit.
2 MSc and 1 PhD studentship for the projects.
Outcome
: Enhanced research capacity, internationally accredited laboratory services, and improved health diagnostics in Malawi and Zambia.
