Leadership & Management
Kamuzu University of Health Sciences is a public university and is therefore headed by the President of The Republic of Malawi as the Chancellor and governed by The Council, Senate and Executive Management.
The University Council
The Council is the main governing body of the university and exercises general supervisory responsibility over all the affairs of the university including its relations with different stakeholders.
The Senate
The Senate is the supreme decision-making body on academic matters of the university and is responsible for regulating such matters as academic standards, approval of curriculum and academic programmes of the university, recommending of fees to council, etc.

The Executive Management
The University management is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the University including formulation and implementation of the University’s corporate plans, budgets, policies and work plans
