a) Student Representative Council (SRC)
Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) has a student governing body known as the Student Representative Council (SRC). Its primary responsibility is to serve as a bridge between the student community and the university management, ensuring that students’ needs are addressed. Membership in the Students’ Union is automatic for all students. Additionally, international students are represented within the Union, with a dedicated representative to support foreign nationals on matters affecting them. Membership in the Students’ Union requires an annual affiliation fee of $30, while Malawian students pay MK2000 per year
b) KUHeS Alumni
The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) Alumni Association was officially launched in 2025, bringing together graduates from the university’s two historic pillars, the former College of Medicine (COM) and Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN). This vibrant network unites alumni from as far back as 1979 to present day, creating a powerful community dedicated to advancing health sciences and contributing to Malawi’s development.
