SSPG System Developers Meeting

SSPG Dev Meeting · 12th June 2026

Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), through the Scottish Strategic Partnership Grant (SSPG), successfully held a Systems Development Meeting on Friday, 12 June 2026 at Game Haven. The meeting brought together KUHeS internal ICT system developers and key stakeholders to discuss and coordinate the development of institutional digital systems supporting Governance and Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL) functions.

The primary aim of the meeting was to consolidate system development efforts across the University, develop a coordinated work plan for system development activities, define system requirements, address system integration and data-sharing challenges, and establish a collaborative culture of information, skills and resource sharing among developers. Presentations and discussions covered several strategic areas including the SSPG initiative for systems development, the system development life cycle, strategic pillars and monitoring and evaluation, data warehouse development, governance dashboards, and progress on ongoing systems such as RPlus and MANEPS.

The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to identify existing systems, assess systems currently under development, discuss integration requirements, and determine remaining development work. Teams also worked together to prioritize projects, assign responsibilities, and develop implementation timelines with clear milestones and deliverables. The SSPG Developers Tools Meeting represents a significant milestone in KUHeS's ongoing digital transformation agenda, supporting improved governance, monitoring, decision-making, and operational efficiency through integrated information systems.

The University remains committed to leveraging technology and collaborative innovation to strengthen institutional performance and service delivery.
