Undergraduate How to Apply

Generic entry:

Students have a choice to apply either through hard copies or online and application is done through the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

Hard copy applications

Application forms can be collected from NCHE offices in Lilongwe, all District Commissioners, and District Education Managers’ offices in all districts across Malawi. The forms can also be accessed on NCHE website as well as the KUHeS website. The form should be filled and submitted to National.
Or download the application form from the National Council for Higher Education website [https://pus.nche.ac.mw], fill it out and send the completed form to National Council for Higher Education, Post Office Box B43, Lilongwe, before the deadline indicated in the advertisement.

Online applications

Apply online through the National Council for Higher Education website by following this link https://pus.nche.ac.mw. The following documents in electronic format are required for every online application:

  1. Identity card;
  2. Passport-sized photo;
  3. Certificate or result notification slip
  4. Proof of payment of application fee.
Mature entry:

Duly completed application forms together with proof of payment of a non-refundable application fee of K12, 000.00 for Malawian candidates and U$25 for international applicants should be sent to the same address. Applicants should attach a deposit slip as proof of payment of an appropriate application fee.

Application Package

A complete application package MUST include the following:

  1. Copies of all relevant degrees/Diplomas/certificates/academic transcripts which have been indicated on the application form. These must be duly certified as true copies of the originals by a recognized Commissioner of Oaths.
  2. Original proof of availability of funds for training i.e. official sponsorship letter or bank statements of the applicant.
  3. Copy of a bank deposit slip showing the name of the applicant and the amount of application fee paid.
    Curriculum vitae (CV) with names and contact details of three traceable referees.
  4. A clear specification of a programme applied for as well as the candidate’s preferred mode of its delivery.
  5. Official reference letter(s) from the current and/or previous employer(s) showing proof of at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

ANY APPLICATION FORM THAT WILL NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVEMENTIONED DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED!
